The waves lie
Behind a wall of white
Dashing away before they've
Even begun to hang the
Albatross.
Fear, like the unknown within
The icy abyss beneath the
Ship sailing on a midnight raid,
Moves quickly to pull
Courage down..
Down...
Down under the surface.
Choking on would be's,
Would not's, what if's and
Regrets.
A metamorphosis is almost
Complete.
Courage, unwilling to die,
Sinking slowly to the bottom,
Begins anew.
Recklessness is born in the still watery underworld,
Swimming faster...
Faster...
Faster still.
Energy building.
Bursting through
The wall of white,
The waves form again.
They ripple and dance as their
Storm rages on.
Silent once before and
Never more.

Love it! Really, it sounds great! Also, I am pleased to catch the reference to the Rhyme of the Ancient Mariner.
